Yep, they raised prices in March 2010.

But on the other hand, warranty is now lengthened to 2 years after service...it was only 1 year before.

    Cheers!

Same here. Just sent in my 16234 for overhaul and was shocked when they told me standard overhaul price is S$720 and my face is chipped and need to be replaced at $138. Total damage: S$858 and have to wait till end of July...

When asked why so expensive and so long for overhaul, the aunty said because I have not send in for servicing for past 12 years, the lubrication has hardened. It will involve the removal of 200 over parts, lubrication and replacement of crown and rethreading, etc.

If found not original do they confiscate the watch? Or they just laugh at you?

sigh no choice, got to live with the circular scratches till next servicing. Just to share with every rolex watch lovers here, never trust the skill of these technicians at RSC there, and its always wise to put on all protective bezel and back stickers when send for check or service.
And most important if you have side protective stickers intact do remind them not to remove any single there, as mine one of protective side sticker was being removed without my consent !, later the sticker was fixed back but found not properly aligned

learn to leave with the scratches not very visible, till servicing. but to me the only thing i cannot tolerate is crystal. Flaws, complete overhaul at rsc can do one shot.
