i can see the serial number briefly without taking out the whole strap,its actually in yellow and white gold,lining in middle is yellow gold.so is model number 18239 or 16520?and do chuan watches do verification?i called up,they seem to be the only ones who are confident to repair the watch infront of me,i can sit in their workshop,they say...btw,wat is the market rate for the watch now?it has 10 small diamonds and the watch is rather heavy...rsc is alittle ex coz i tink the day and date gears are dislodged,but the time is moving well.any other watch repair shops to recommend?thanks alot!

For AD to get a ss daytona they need to purchase a lot of air king and datejust from rolex.

some, not all of them will have the White Face SS Daytona on hand...

and if they do there is almost no chance for them to sell at listed, unless you are a regular.

if you are not a regular, you can only hope to get it at a not so high price.

this is unfortunately the business.... you need to know how hard it is for them to get 1 piece of daytona, to appreciate why the mark up is so high.

Last month, i went to THG ( or Rolex ) at Raffles hotel, also have to ask before they take it out to show me. Quoted S$16.5, but not sure about price now.

no. this is not true. only thing true is that, most of them keep stock and dont display the SS because they want to sell @ premium.......

Wow! Is it a norm, even in singapore, that a buyer must purchase at least 3 rolies before he can buy a SS daytona. ( My objective are shatter if it is true......).

currently there is no best price. it only depends on how much u willing to pay for one.

it is a vicious cycle. when the stock is limited and there is demand, premium price. when there is more stock, less demand, the price drops.

most AD now got stock already.

I think if u r looking for BNIB, it's very difficult to find a good price as it's still command a premium...
But if for LNIB, i think there are quite a number at those pre-own ADs.
But for the pre-own shops, if they hav the holding power, they will not sell at a lower price too cos some of the watches they sell are based on consignment. That's why they r not worried...
I know that THH at lucky plaza has SS daytona but i think they r on consignment as well, maybe u can try there!

Therefore, if u r buying a BNIB from a local AD, be prepared to pay around $16k for it!
I think its the same as overseas AD, they will not sell it to u easily unless u r their regular customer.I got mine without discount at an overseas AD, but the requirement is that i need to purchase 3 rolex from them at the same time, then they r willing to sell me the SS daytona...
That was last year before the crisis, maybe now its different, i dunno...
But it's always worthwhile to get the watch which u like best!
