Just the watch and warranty card

Noob question: do I hv to bring in my entire box with warranty card or just watch only when going to RSC for service?

Bought my first Rolex (Sub 116610LN) from a SG ROC Preferred Advertiser recently.

BNIB complete with paper and box.

Watch looks good and authentic, but decided to send it to RSC for authentication anyway since this is my first Rollie.

Lady at the RSC counter took a good look at the watch and questioned me, "Why do you want your watch to be authenticated? Your watch looks ok. We hate to open up new watches, you know. If you insist on authenticating, we can do it and run it thru our database. At least you will know this is not a stolen good. Still cost you $107."

Ended up leaving RSC without doing the authentication.

Mayb saying bracelet clasp is not tight.. Make some adjustment. If not original believe they will not pRovide this free services...

This is very hard to answer question. However, if I brought something not from AD, I will send to RSC for a quick check.

Also, where are most watches authenticated at? For the more popular brands.

I heard its better to send in to replace bezel rather than just sending in for authentication. At least get a new bezel. Cause RSC will inspect ur watch and ensure its all original before they do anything to ur watch. That's what I heard not sure if its true. Pls comment..

Ehhm, replacing bezel is not free. Actually if you cancel servicing (after getting the quote) they will still charge $107, same cost as authenticating, since as you said, they will open up the watch to ensure genuine Rolex prior to servicing.

I will want the watch to be re-authenticated rather than using old paper, but at least I can make an offer on price before going to RSC.

I have come across dealer also send their used rolex for verification.
What about consumer like us.....
