I always feel by opening up case back for diver watches like Sub/SD/DSSD just to check the movement for authenticate is a no no for me as all factory seal will be broken & they will not test the 300m seal. Even for 100m seal of a GMT, i will also feel uneasy.

But all depends on your confident to know your stuff about authenticate the watch yourself. Even 2nd shop, if they open up a Sub, I will not get from them.

so to replace a 16610's bezel, it should cost less than $107 with servicing?

You meant the non-ceramic bezel costs less than $107?

    Sgroc bro, is it true???
Haha smart and I would think RSC will ensure the watch us authentic before they replace the bezel.

So it depends on what bezel you are replacing.

A YG or WG or ceramic bezel will cost more than the cost of authentication.

Only if your watch is a submariner or GMT II, both non ceramic version then yes. BUT! If I m not wrong it's about the same cost. Don't think you are saving alot but you are getting a new part.

How to identify through picture that this is not real deal? No such model perhaps?

    Hi Watchnoob,

Sure...for $10. No Problem. I can even pay you double if you can share this info. Of course, I wont hold you liable for sharing. It's entirely up to me.

    Thanks

You have tried searching in the forum and cannot find.

Surely you should be internet savy enough to use google to search for top hour and locate their opening hours and contact details.

    1) Just pick up the phone and call them lah. They will advise you accordingly because you say authenticate a watch. What watch brand you referring to?

    2) As for JW, google and you can find their details and contact number. Just give you a hint, they have moved from Upper Pickering Street to International Plaza.

    3) If I tell you to find a trustable watch authentication place, but if the watch technician fail to spot a non genuine part. Then how? Will you blame me?

I can tell you, many senior members have pay their tuition fees to locate these watch technicians. Will you be willing to pay part of senior member's tuition fees? Just a token of $10 to show your appreciation, I will share with you mine. But hor, if anything goes wrong, don''t blame me hor.
