  • Titanium Rolex?

    Just curious.
Owned quite a few Panerai's, some of which are Titanium.

Got my first Rolex (not counting the ones that passed on to me) not too long ago.
    It is Sub ND.

Now I m really into Rolex with all the interesting stories.
Only scratch the surface compared to the experienced members here, though.

Does anyone know that Rolex ever tried Titanium?
They seemed to have all sorts of materials from Platinum, Gold White-Yellow-Rose, Steel...and a bit of Ceramic.

    Cheers

Rolex watches cases are made only in ss, yg, wg, pg or RG or ERG and plat. Nothing else, no fanciful metals (other than the hairspring) or carbon or combi. and the most complicated movement is probably the Daytona. In short rolex is perhaps the most basic brick and mortar watch which started off as a tool/military wrist watch maker?... In future, who knows? Perhaps they will change thei mission statement of the trust/foundation governing the company?

                  Thanks for sharing.
                  That s quite interesting philosophy.
Stick to the root. Just like mini.
That makes rolex even more charming, for not easily moved by those surround.
                  Hmmm...time for a gmt ...
