Any comments for the mentioned Models ?

Thinking of owning 1 entry great pre-owned watch ,
Finally zoom down to 3 models :

- Rolex-GMT-Master-II-116710-Ceramic-Bezel $8300

- rolex explorer 2 z series around $5300 (no pin holes)

- Omega SMP 2254 -$2300

Any feedback welcome , price & etc

Follow your heart. I bought GMT2C and kept in 6 months but only wore it twice. Sold it after 6 months. What works for others but might not work for you.

I would go for a GMT2/Sub if I'm you, its 1 of those watches you will keep no matter how many other love u have.

Another good option will be the Tudor black bay, am tempting to get 1 as a work horse, but its way too similar to my sub.

GMT 2 ceramic is a great choice.

I have a 2254.50 for 7 years and recently bought a gmt2c. Both are great watches and I alternate them every few days. My opinion is gmt is loud and blinkblink while SMP is cool and steady. So depends on my mood, where I go and sometimes who I meet will decide which I wear.

In terms of build and design, both are excellent. I like everything of SMP except the smaller crown and the wave is not extend to full face. The gmt2c is a bit smaller, there are sharp edges and lunimation not as good. Workmanship-wise both are very respectable. Of course Rolex maintain very good value over time but to me, the price of these 2 watches should not be differ by this big gap. I would not say gmt2c is over-priced (this is exactly the value of Rolex) but Omega SMP is really a bargain. I will get myself a Omega dress watch in future for sure - likely an Aqua Terra.

If you want a nice watch with limited budget, go for SMP. If you want to blinkblink to impress (nothing wrong and maintain value aka buy one then later sell and get another, then Rolex. For me, I may sell gmt for datejust2 when I get older. But the SMP is to pass down to my son. Either one, you won't go wrong. ExpII to me is a bit low profile - the reason I get gmt2c is I want the blinkblink coin edges
