I think somewhere in the world, there are some SDs not sold out yet by the ADs, which is why the price list still includes SD and DSSD.

Rolex should know where these ADs are, since they supposed to keep track of sales every month or quarterly.

My take is that it takes a while for all SDs to completely get off the shelves. Why? For every ten Subs sold, maybe only one SD gets sold. Subs are very popular and well-known; Mr. Bond wears a Sub, but not SD. So the SD is not a watch that is meant for everyone. It has a lot of disadvantages: heavier, no cyclops due to an extra 3mm of sap-glass, has an extra mechanism and pressure resistance that you would never use if you don't go for diving, costs more than a Sub (US$400), not easy to find buyer in resale market, discontinued series, and worst of all, you don't see many people wearing it - nobody knows you wearing a Rolex coz no cyclop, only you know.

In today's economic climate, it might be an alternative investment to balance out your portfolio, plus you get to enjoy it at the same time (if you wear it)! From one prospective, Rolex is helping Rolex owners to keep the value of the watch with annual price increases! I am of coz, one happy owner!

I think the old birds can verify if the rollies they bought years ago broke even or sometimes was sold higher than their initial price today.

Anyway, here's what I got from TRF:

    Explorer - US$5,050 / SGD$7,560
    Explorer II - US$5,925 / SGD$8,870
    Sub 14060m - US$5,450 / SGD$8,158
    Stainless Steel Sub Date - US$6,000 / SGD$8,982
    Stainless Steel Sub Date LV - US$6,400 / SGD$9,580
    Two-Tone Sub - US$9,300 / SGD$13,922
    Sea-Dweller 16600 - US$6,400 / SGD$9,580
    DeepSea SD - US$9,250 / SGD$13,847
    Stainless Steel GMT II C - US$7,000 / SGD$10,479
    Two-Tone GMT II C - US$10,350 / SGD$15,494
    Stain Steel/Platinum YatchMaster - US$9,450 / SGD$14,146
    Milgauss - US$6,200 / SGD$9,281
    Milgauss GV - US$6,575 / SGD$9,843
    Stainless Steel Daytona - US$9,925 / SGD$14,858

    Based on 1 U.S. dollar = 1.497 Singapore dollar (as of 22 Oct 08)

Disclaimer: I have not checked with Rolex Singapore with the post-1st Oct prices to verify the prices above. Our local SG A.Ds. may still be using the old price list. It is likely the new prices will have effect after all the old stocks are sold out, probably by end of the year.
Thought the seadweller has been discon?

If we know, we can grab them before the price increase comes into effect.
If you trust the ADs/private sellers, BUY NOW!
