  • Datejust 16233, Full gold or gold plated?

Sorry for the noob question. But is the Datejust TT, 16233 full gold or gold plated?

    Thank you.

TT means Two Tone means half gold half stainless steel.
    hope this answer your question.

I think TS is asking if the gold in the half-gold (or two-tone) model is only gold-plated or full gold parts.

TS, I think the older ROLEX models are only gold-plated.

You are right, this is the question I am asking!

Would like someone to enlighten me if the 16233 is gold plated or full gold and if possible, to know which year onwards did they become full gold parts.

        thanks!!

unless not-original, gold parts on 162xx are 18k gold. crown should be a two-piece (18k wrapped) part.

bezel/crown on older DJs are 14kt gold. switched after 8m (IIRC) - definitely in the 80s...

gold wrapped vintage rolex watches exists (not common) but generally does not include datejust or day-date.
