  • Info For People who wishes to purchase Rolex watches using credit cards

    FYI,

Even when a shop who does not tie up with banks. U can still call ur credit card company to put it on interest free installments. Call them for arrangement to do so after u are done with the transactions.

CIMB offers 10/20 mths interest free installments with a fee of 3% and 5% of the amt u swipe.

UOB offers up to 36 mths interest free with 3% fees upfront as well.

POSB/DBS offers 24 mths interest free with 3% fees upfront.

No catch at all. The only thing u need to consider is the upfront fees. And u may need to pay for the annual credit fees cos u are at their mercy when u request for waiver of annnual credit fees. Hope it helps.

Note: Credit limit must be within the amt u wishes to swipe ur card. E.g 85% of your total available amt.
And for those who has frequently miss credit cards payment. Advisable to call ur bank for pre approval. Hope it helps ppl here

Most local big ADs offer true 0% installment of 24 months typically, and sometimes with promotions can go up to 50 months.

And yes, you'll still get the usual discount offered.

What you're sharing is also feasible with the bank direct, basically choosing to pay the bank back within the stipulated time with a processing fee upfront.

But honestly, it's a better choice to buy from AD that offers 0% installment than going through the bank because the processing fee even for a typical Submariner can go up to $400+ 5% or at least close to $300.

Yah. agreed. This post is meant for those who goes to the 2nd hand dealers who did not tie up with any banks. And ppl may go there to get new watch cos price is lower than when u purchase with local AD.

For those who wishes to purchase a 2nd hand watch but want installments. Thats another alternative for them.

Yeah, but most of the time smaller independent dealers when added with that processing charge will turn out the same price as big chain ADs.

Smaller independent dealers are best to be paid in cash to maximise savings and discount, bigger players are very strict with prices so paying by cash or credit card installment most of the time makes no differences.

But I think 0% installment is a good choice even with the ready cash, might as well free it up and pay slower as long as within limits.

Anyway paying $10,000 today vs $416.67 over 24 months, the latter is a better option as due to inflation, you're actually paying lesser.

Some may say to save the cash first, but let's say you save $420 every month for 24 months, by then the same watch will most likely be $11,000 already.

I just bought a sub 2 tone from AD and apart from the usual discount, AD offer another $700 discount if pay cash.

I paid by personal cheque to save the $5 to buy cashier order.
I have to wait a few days for AD to clear the cheque before collecting the watch.
But I think is worth the trouble.
