  • how to read your Rollie crown

Noticed quite a bit of issues with Crowns recently

    1) DA to gan jiong and succeeded in plucking out the crown of his DJ
    2) Familyfirst had to re-send his watch to RSC to fix a crown issue (don bluff, must be cos of the RSC girls)
    3) i posted a thread with regard to my GMTIIc crown's 'issues'

hence, decided to post a bit more info on the crowns.

Dunno if this was posted before. Mods please help to delete if posted already.

I know 3 dots = triplock crown. But did you know the size of the dots, number of dots, the line instead of dots also tell something about your rollie?

    Look at this chart bah!!

I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch.........

Does Triple lock means depth rating to 300m ???

cos I find this contradictory to my Daytona manual ....Thks

                nope. doesnt work that way.

e.g., GMTIIc also having triplock crown but depth rating is also only 100m. Guess the case also plays a part. But then again, these watches are usually overengineered and the depth rating is usually conservative.

You can try bringing your daytona to 300m and see hee hee...

                Cheers!
