          even preown shop also quite smart, they will not give u a quote. instead they ask how much u intend to sell, then they bargain down

            Bring your watch to any pre-own watch shop and get a price quote from the dealer. With price given, you are better able to sell your watch online, quoting a fairer price. You may like to post some pics when selling it online.

            Alternatively to rid off hassle, sell it to the shop. And if you intend to do this, visit a few to get the best price, though the difference may be insignificant. Here are few options:

            http://www.watcharena.com.sg/;
            http://www.jwwatch.com/;
            http://www.99auction.com/adsearch.ph...h&go=GO+%3E%3E

                If to pre-own watch dealers, most often they will tell you the accessories are insignificant. They will try not to give you more for that. However, if you sell directly to a buyer, you can ask for a slightly better price.

                  $50 is what i would pay for box and papers on a standard series watch. however if it is of collectable value, then i would be willing to pay alot more. Depends on the watch.

                    What the difference going to a pawnshop and a pre-own watch shop?

                    1) as much as possible without getting back?
                    2) set on the max amount and pawn it to get it back later when the tough period is over?

                      Depend on the reason of selling.
                      Pawnshops and preown dealers for fast deal and trouble-free.
                      Market yourself (DIY), the other way round. And, be prepared for the "good" & "bad" experiences.

                      Maybe Trade-in, you can get a better deal.

                            sorry guys, didnt mean to rack up this thread as im still a newbie which means i can only hijack others thread to posts on this issues...

                            may i know how what is the diff in value between a pre-own shop and a pawnshop?

                            pawnshop charges interest at how much?

                            or is easier to go straight to a pre-own shop?
