  • Foreign AD or Local Set???

    Hi Guys,
A newie here. been reading some of the sale posts & just wandering what is the difference between obtaining a local set & a foreign AD set? As long as it is authentic, it doesn't matter it is local or foreign. right? Is there a price prenium between a local or foreign set?
Any inputs on this is appreciated.

    No difference

For global brands such as Rolex, there is no difference - as long as it is an AD, doesn't matter whether it is local or foreign. Some people of course feel more assured if it is a local AD and might pay a small premium for it.

You are still buying a rollie, international 2year warranty.

locally (singapore) stamped AD sets are unlikely to be those found on gray markets overseas.

foreign stamped sets MIGHT be sourced from the gray market (or because it's tax-free) and thus cheaper. i think because of such reasons, foreign sets may be cheaper.

however, like what one bro said, as long as it has warranty, it's internationally recognized. and like what you said, as long as it's authentic, it shouldn't matter.

some people throw away/misplace their paperwork and when the watch is later sold to someone else, the new owner won't know where the watch is from...
