    Hi all, am a newbie here. Just bought a re-owned YM boy yesterday.
    I was to told by the sales person that its a 2003-2004 watch.
    May i know how to verify the year and the series of the watch.

    Help appreciated.
    Thanks.

    U have to take off the bracelet n check the serial no. From the alphabet in front of the number, u can check the production yr. Have u bought it to RSC to do a authentication check?? It will be safer.

        M168622 -> Model number
        A928214 -> Shd be serial number.

        If it is a A series then it shd be from yr 1998 to 2000.

          agree, the model number is 168622, while the A928214 is A series ba.

            Think u can go ask them y they say is 03-04, while it is a "A" series... Btw, can this be bought up to CASE or other agency if the SA mislead the consumer into buying??

              this is one of the reasons why rolex has switched to a weird serial numbering system... consumers always looking at the manufacturing period.

              while a rolex watch can be identified as being made in a certain time-frame, say 1999-2000... it is entirely possible that the watch was only sold by an AD in 2004 (especially unpopular models... eg mid-sized YM).

              if there is proof that the watch was sold in 2004, you should be fine.

              otherwise you should ask for a discount or a refund... although how easy it is to get it i won't be sure...
