  • Value of Boxes / Accs / Paper

What would a rolex lose in value if say it came without

    1) Box (inner/outer)
    2) papers / or card for newer models
    3) Accs such as tools/leather pouch etc

    Thanks
    SRC is bad dealer !

with all those items 1 to 3, it will enhance the value of the watch..... the watch itself will not lose its value...heheheh...

Basically a watch is like an unit of the flat.

Had valuated a selling price bases on current market (demand & supply).

Whether the unit had been throw in 100K of the renovation, probably it may helps to push for the sales (more demands) and seller can demands for cash upfront.

In all, it doesn't affect the value of the unit - same logic to rolex.

        Cheers,

An older Rolex box (inner, outer) costs only around $50, while the new ones cost $100. No problem if there's no boxes so.

If I ever purchase a pre-owned Rolex, I would make sure it comes with the cert, to me that piece of paper equate to an NRIC of a person, without it, he will be consider an illegal imigrant.

but how many people have kept their boxes, and a box/paper set from preowned dealer is close to extinct.

but if you want to sell, got the people who will bash your price down (at least try to!) if you dont have box, they complain not complete set.

unfortunately not everyone thinks like you do.... I remember when I sell my hifi amplifiers, CD players etc, it is much easier to sell if you retain the original carton box, because it give ppl the impression that you really take good care of your stuff & you are a serious hobblist., the same fgoes or Rolex watches .

that is true, it is a perception that those who retain box/carton/paperwork etc will look after their things better. that is why i insisted they no one throw out my boxes for my things, but you know, my mother always complain that my bedroom look like kalang guni man room

That is the norm lor. At least, this little objects give u something to judge the charateristic of the owner. Otherwise, how'd knw the background(of the owner). Similar to buying 2nd hand car. Of course, the disclaimer is unless u personally knw the owner well.
