  • does rolex still have the parts for 5513 like the matte dial?

as to the above question, is the matte dial still available at rolex service center when you go to replace the dial for rolex 5513?

i got the watch but it is in the 1970s with a non matte dial which is replaced. i bought this a few years back.(i did not know at that time that the non matte started around the 1985)

    some bros help here please

Rolex Singapore definately does not have any more matte replacements, like most around the world.

Rolex Bexley (UK) still has some left....what my friends over there tell me.

    Hope this helps...

as a rule of thumb, the RSC will have parts for the last version of a particular model.

for eg, if your 16800 needs a new dial, it is likely to get a gloss one as the later variants had gloss dials.

the same goes for a 5513... gloss with WG surrounds.

RSC bexley does not follow that thumb, as does a few other RSCs around the world.

hence the profitability (or so some claim) of hoarding vintage dials.

back to your question: the 1520/1570 movement is being selectively denied service at RSCs around the world.

i think you're safe in singapore as the 1570 DJs are still being accepted for service locally.

i dare not say the same for a 5513 replacement case though.

No, they will not send your watch anywhere...

They will offer you a WG surround gloss dial....take it or leave it....

          That's RSC Singapore for you...

They are available, in the 2nd hand market.

But would you pay $1500-$3000 for a matching one?

                Cheers!

so you're basically just looking for a matte 5513 dial?

a service replacement Luminova matte dial in good condition may be easier (and cheaper) to come by than an original tritium matte dial.

not always worth the money though. try monitoring VRM... sometimes there are good deals.

do you know which shop sell the matte dial for 5513?
will the shop help to fit the dial into the watch?
