  • El Fako Rollies

    Read this:
    http://www.infoniac.com/offbeat-news...n-details.html

    Excerpt:
No Chinese-made Rolex: Although Rolex is a Swiss watchmaking company, you will find authentic timepieces of the brand produced in other countries, for example, the USA, Italy, Venezuela and Mexico. However, a Chinese Rolex is no doubt a replica watch.

Is this true? If i find any of my rollies are made in the aforementioned countries, i'll be damn super low-morale!!!!

CCB! Doesnt it say swiss made?!

I am not surprised if not now Rolex will have another production plant outside swiss... BMW has a plant in Thailand, Benz has a plant in South Africa, and those "Made in Japan" electronic you are using have parts "Made in China" in it... even the mircowave Japanese dumplings you are eating also made from china...

that is true, somemore, their minor parts such as gear wheels, springs, can be sourced from anywhere. the final percentage must be = or > 50% to be considered swiss made. worst case scanario 50% swiss, 50% china

but in reality, it is unlikely rolex go to china to source, I suspect they will go to places in the former soviet bloc, and so forth.

swiss difficult to start operating, you must have alot of area to operate. do not try operating from home. one of my uncle supplier got one 4lt can of petrol type substance, the gov't really give him hell!! So you imagine you got the solvent to clean your watch, they probably ask you to operate elsewhere.

this should clear out all doubt and be a concise guide to the matter.
