Bought mine at Frankfurt 2 days ago and it starts with G. The guy told me it just arrived 2 days ago and he hasn't even had time to display it yet until I asked for it. Of coz he can always bull me, but he did seem genuine. In fact, he didn't even display the new model! He took everything from under the counter.

V case date started August 2008 now it looks like a change to the serial number system came in somewhere mid January/February 2010 and now we have a few GXXXXXX for a short time in early July 2010 on, then perhaps Rolex had a re-think to have the random system. And now what I can see of it, the numbers do not run from 000000 to 999999 anymore. But enter the new type serials looks they are made up totally at random, and there can be two letters in the serials as well as numbers. But most Rolex watches are not long at the ADs to be classed as old stock especially the S.Steel watches. So it will be the slow sellers gold and precious metal watches that could be at AD months or even a year or two.But when bought new they still have the 2 year warranty so cannot see any problems. When you go and buy say a TV you don't ask when it was made. You just buy the model on show, and most Rolex watches even when bought new say two years old will still last longer than the average TV.Originally posted by lessleaf View Postdoes anyone have a new G series?
