  • DeepSea vs Daytona

    to me...

deepsea - nicer asthetics, more masculine (due to chunky size)

daytona - retains value better all through the years

    do you agree?

From my personal point of view, I agree with what you said about the DSSD. On the daytona, prices have come down quite a fair bit so I guess the price is kind of stable now. DSSD, on the other hand, is relatively new and there may still be some remaining correction on its price. U deciding between the two?
    I want a 116505!

dssd will never be the same lvl as daytona. it will always be higher in price and resell value

"it will always be higher in price and resell value", refers to the DSSD or Daytona

why so concerned about resale value? you are comparing two very different watches to start with. one is a deep sea diver's watch, the other is a chronograph. both are selling at a premium.

Daytona, aesthetically better than DSSD. However, it also depends on your wrist size for some of us, example is i have a smaller wrist, i will never look good in DSSD.

prefer daytona as DSSD cannot sit well on my wrist...
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak

Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen

I totally agree with you. Gold Daytona was selling at sky high price like Milguass when the stock was limited a few years backed( i remember reading an watch article that say one local AD was selling Gold Daytona at 6 figure at that time...). But now nobody paying a premium as simple vintage hunter or Steven Mc Queen rolex seem to fetch better return than Paul Newman "Daytona". Hhahaha
