I would definitely have the glass replaced as it is too badly damaged. I would also bite the bullet for the overhaul cost as crystal dust in watch is a bad sign. Look at the bright side, after the overhaul, you can smile and wear a nice Milgauss GV again!

I could be wrong on the following but is my thought.

          Crystal dust inside

          inside where ? movement ?

Milgauss should be double cases, for Magnetic stuff.
That is the reason it does not have date function due to the design of casing.

ya..i share ur tots too initially..n i qn e person whom call me from RSC..i ask her..there is no date on e case..ther is no way e dust will gt in to the back..

Her reply: they spotted traces of dust at e side corner and on e Hour/Min hands..there is no gurantee it will not slip into the movement..n they need to open up the back to clean to play safe..

n tis consider overhaul? haizz..bt she assure they will dismantle every small parts and clean up every parts, oil if nec, replace any parts faulty..etc..

so i left w no choice lor..since she sound so professional..hahaha..dun wanna take any risk..

Bro, please take it easy. I am sure that your watch is in good hands from the people of RSC. I am also certain that it will look as good as brand new after overhauling. Meanwhile, just be patient and do not lose sleep over it.

                            Cheer up!

but i guess putting it at RSC will have better peace of mind
