  • Using leather straps on watches.Beware!

    Just want to caution everyone when you switch your bracelets to leather straps,make sure you get straps with a bit of gap between the strap and the watch case.

    if your leather strap is pressed tightly against your watch case,on the part of the case where the serial numbers are engraved,constant rubbing over a long period will actually cause the serial numbers to fade or even disappear!

    we know it looks nicer when there are no gaps but I rather not because of the reason above.

          HI DA, my day dates are not affected because the straps I use are soft,thin type and with the gaps in between the strap and case.

          from my observation, its the thick hard leather straps that fit very tightly,those that fills the gaps that cause max wear to the sides of the watch case.
