  • Explorer or Datejust...

    dear fellow rolex lovers,

After owning my 1st GMT-2c for one yr, now my hand is iching for another rolex
Want a watch that i can wear daily (both formal and casual), so i narrow down to these 3 watches:
    Datejust (116200)
    Oyster Perpetual date (115200)
    Explorer (214270)

Right now am leaning towards the explorer since its a sport model and seems to be in greater demand. Most likely i will want to change it to a black leather strap to complement the dressy look.
Hope to hear some advise from u guys. thks!
    My humble collection:
    - GMT IIc 116710 V series (Mar 10)
    - IWC Portuguese IW 5001-07

Dun be afraid of hard work, be afraid if you have no work...

I think all three are quite alright. Since you are having a sports model already, you may consider getting one of the klassik models?

I think a klassic model like 116200 would be a good choice!!! But I may be a little biased!!!

i think if u want casual and formal, the explorer I might be a better choice? the other 2 look a bit too classy..

Looks like it's either the datejust or explorer, will go and try them on when I go US next wk. Jus wonder why there isn't many pre-owned explorer 1 (214270) for sale here. Getting a new one might be abit stretch.... Haha

Actually the explorer is really more versatile, just that the lack of date function is abit of a turnoff...
