  • modifying a two tone blue sub to a white gold sub

hi is it possible to modify a two tone gold sub from 1998 to a white sub? (replacing the bracelet, crown bezell and dial)... where can i get these parts? thanks

replacing the parts shouldnt be a problem provided you can find someone who can get you the parts in the first place.

but a white gold sub means you have to change:
case (from stainless to white gold)
    bracelet
    crown
    bezel
    dial

infact the only thing left original will be the movement, and the cost i believe will be sky high. maybe better to just find yourself a white gold sub and sell the two tone sub

are you sure you can find/make a white gold (non-maxi 166xx) sub case? i'm not sure if there's such a model... the closest thing is perhaps a mythical cartier matte dial WG sub.

you can, however, buy a normal maxi sub and change the bezel and dial for a white-gold-lookalike submariner by sourcing the parts from europe.
