I think if you got some connection with overseas AD you may be able to get brand new rolex parts.
Reason being these ADs are also authorized to service and replace parts for their client. If the price is right you will get yours parts from them, and they are in rolex wax sealed container with security chip.

so if you order online its either preown original parts or brand new fakes
          Can be...original new parts.

Simple way to tell...the price you pay.

i think there is a difference between a refinished/refurbished dial and a custom dial. the former usually uses an original rolex dial, while the latter may use a generic dial plate or an original.

older models of dials may be found as NOS or swapped out and re-sold as original parts. you can always check on forums if it's a genuine dial or a custom/refinished dial.

whatever the case, buy online with caution. however do note that ADs were known to keep a stock of dials/bracelets/straps/buckles for dress rolex watches - again, these were for older models.

brand new rolex parts are getting more difficult to get, especially when they are parts located inside the watch case (eg, dials). it is easier to get external parts (eg, flush fit end links, bezel insert/assembly, crystals, spring bars) in europe but this is not the case in countries like USA and singapore.

whichever watchmaker in singapore that has these genuine sealed packages of internal parts (and they won't be parts like a new blue maxi-dial or parachrom spring) used to have a parts account with rolex and had hoarded them since before or had bought them from other people/watchmakers/dealers.

they will usually be "expendables" like a twin lock crown and tube or main spring, not "restricted" items like a main plate or service replacement case. again, old dials for vintage dress models may be easily found too (well, easier than sport model dials!).

good luck with your hunt for a nice and affordable genuine dial!
