1 year waiting list for Daytona even in Italy....unless your stars are really shining brightly on that nite....you would probably be able to get it at around 12-13k SGD after tax refund.

    essentially the same.
resale value will depend more on condition and completeness of the watch as a set
Whether local or overseas, it makes no difference to me.

Personally, I will prefer local AD set rather than overseas AD set just for the piece of mind and not the mention the fact that I will be treated as a proper customer like what bro Throttle had mention. I don't really mind paying a few hundred bucks more just for the good service/attitude from the SA. That's just me. My 2 cents.

it's just the difference of walking into the shop locally, the total piece of mind and the fact that one will be treated like a proper customer.

Some people prefer, some people dont but whatever it is, as long as the watch is genuine, it's fine.

in terms of preown, it will be about condition and age.

I bought mine from local AD, knowing full well that i could get it cheaper from overseas AD.
but in life one shouldnt try to squeeze the last drop of juice from a lemon (notice that i didnt even say stone).
takes the living out of the life.

    cheers

Pardon me but how did you reckon it was 'patriotism' on what alvin89 was referring to

I also find it hard to accept how buying of luxury watches is link to 'patriotism' in any sense

In your case, I reckon tourists ain't 'patriotic' at all because they spend their money in another country?

Sorry if I read otherwise but aren't you asking for "local AD resell price"? If that's the case, the ADs DO NOT sell pre-owned watches; only new ones. If it is AD's selling price of a GMT II-c, whether your's will be price the same with one that is new from an AD after those years, will depend very much on how much you are buying it for now. But that doesn't really sound right. How can a pre-owned watch be price the same (even close) with a new one after few years
