  • Economy starting to affect Vintage Rolex as well

In the recently concluded Christie's auction in HK, price of the 1675 GMT for instance was around SGD 5k something.

I think we are about to see a downward trend....

it's gonna be a MAJOR price correction for all watch prices that had been inflated since last year. As of now.... cash is KING!

BTW, how reliable are these auctions? do they give warranty like 2nd hand dealers? It is very hard to judge a watch just based on its appearance... what if I bought a rolex from this auction and got rejected by our dear RSC???

              just TCSS....

I think warranty only on authenticity

when they grade the watches, they have specifications such as "needs servicing etc". So there is certainly a degree of "risk" in that the piece you are getting may need a major overhaul.....

rejection by RSC - haha - can happen - especially if you go there too often......I think you know what I mean

talking about auctions, has anyone bought from the auctions by Dovebid or Borobudur?

based on your latest remark. must put two hands together and say "respect respect" like in the old kungfu movies.

yes, I think there is a charge, probably around 20%. But the site that Osvaldo Patrizzi just started I hear does not charge commission.
