  • Rolex cert

Bought a 16220 yesterday...Curious and wanna ask something regarding the cert that comes with the watch.

The cert clearly shows the model and the serial number of the watch, original date of purchase and big Red Chronometer logo on the bottom left of the cert, but why are all the writing in Japanese language? saw a few same kind of cert produced by rolex but didnt really bother to ask till i bought one.

Tried to google but can't really get any explanation...

My Ex 2 also in paper cert but written in English altho it was from Hong Kong AD

You bought a preowned watch which was sold by a Japanese AD.

                    Hi,

Watches tend to sell better (or higher) if they come with certificates and everything complete. Also, the authenticity of a watch is better proven when there's an original certificate to rely upon.

Out of curiosity, anyone seen this kind of font b4 on the cert? Looks more like Times new romans rather than the aerial font on most certs.

                              Focus on following part:

                              User infrared light:

                              To authenticate the rolex cert.
