Green Sub vs Black Sub?

i was contemplating between the black and the green. in the end, i settled for the green cos it is special and not common.

Ha.. same here. the Blue Sub (116619LB) is an obsolute beauty! You dont see every (or anyone wearing it) Tom Dick Harry owning one, unlike the Black Sub or TT Sub. It's a cool S$36k+ (?) retail right? Hulk? Kermit? Smurf wins the day hands down... hence, the next best option for me is the Full Green Sub...

There will be different camps for green or black. For me i bought the black ceramic coz easier to match for my clothings. But dream list was the blue, but wallet not thick enough.

I was in the same position, not sure which one to choose. In the end, i choose the black colour cause it look nicer when i put it on.

Colour matching i feel not much issue as i wear pink shirt but still i will wear my hulk at times & i still feel it looks great!! But for sure is a rolex that from far people will notice about it.

If that is your only watch, then go with the black one.
If you have many, definitely the green one! Though I agree it is more difficult to match with clothes colours...

i will definitely go for green..black is WAY too common..for matching of clothes,it goes well with dull solid colours u can even wear white...trust me ive seen someone walking along orchard rd wearing an lv subc dressed in a white shirt..it stands out..
in a nutshell,if u wanna keep low profile then wear black..if ur proud of yr timepiece then go green..
p.s. the lv subc is all sold out in sgp rite?ive called thg and they mentioned they are all out..

116610LV is definately one of the legend of Sub.

But if you look for a low profile common wear...take a black sub.

I can say if you get a black sub definately still miss the green hulk. Just my 5 cents.

Held one in Germany last week. Going for less than s$10k. Did not buy as still prefer the previous version 😊

The black subs looked best with the classic aluminium bezels. Ceramic's characteristic of changing hues under different lighting works much better for the LV's green bezel over the black ones (which makes it look as if a plastic sticker is still on top).

That said, as a SubC LV owner, I satisfy my need for those understated moments with my trusty 5513. Perhaps one day I might get a 16800 or 1680, depending on how thick/thin the wallet gets

Used to have a green bezel sub when it was just launch and sold it due to color matching with cloth. But now I always envy those wearing it. Good taste.

Anyone seen those Shark Submariners floating around? Blue bezel on a black dial and imo it looks stunning. Can see from a quick Google Search. (for instance this one: Picture)

Personally I feel like there is too much green on the green one. But I've seen people wear it before and my reaction is always "damn that is nicer than i imagined in my head". So it's really personal preference, but I'd go with black tho!
