  • Day Date - Where to buy?

Where is the best place to buy a yellow gold day-date in Singapore brand new?

Looking at getting a 36mm day date. The dial I like is 118238 but the website only shows the Oyster Bracelet. Does anyone know if I can get the President bracelet on that model?

Is there anything to look out for? eg special serial numbers, discount that I can expect etc.

Also, which Patek is comparable price wise to a 36mm YG Day-Date?

When you guys say ROC, is that the Rolex Centre on Orchard Rd?

    Thanks in advance!

Discounts in local AD is quite standard, show that you are keen, you probably can squeeze some gifts out of them.

ROC means Rolex Owners Club, which is right here.

RSC is Rolex Service Centre which is located at Orchard.

what sort of free gifts can you hope to get when buying a new DayDate in Singapore?

is it cheaper to buy from an AD or Rolex only shop?

If u r buying brand new then get it from AD who can give up to 15% off RRP depending on models & some negotiation. Rolex only shops/boutiques r actually owned by some other reputable ADs, so no diff. As for free gifts, i'm not sure wat they could offer?

dont think its a matter of where to buy cheap. i think its a matter of willing seller at a discount. but then at the same time, if someone sells too cheap you have to be worried too. maybe got some problems with the watch. just my 2 cent thought

I am still getting to grips with this particular forum however I have pretty much decided I would never buy a brand new watch from an AD. The Grey Dealer pricing here or elsewhere always seem to be too hard to turn down. Maybe looking at this route should be an option, I'm sure you can get lots of reccomendations from those longer serving members

                    Agree bro.
Though I am a Day Date collector, I never bought a single brand new Day Date.
A quickset Day Date 18238 or 18038 pre-own is only one third the price of a brand new 118238!
I rather have 3 pre-own than a single brand new piece.
My 18K Gold Day Date "President" Collection:
