  • Watch with Best Steel Bracelet??

    Dear all,

I want to find out is Rolex Sport Model having the best steel bracelet among all high end pieces. If no, then which brand has the best steel bracelet.

Looking for a daily beater that can withstand sweat and odor resistance. Being durable is important too.

    Regards.

If all are same same made by stainless steel, how could one withstand sweat better and has better odour resistance than the others? So long the watch is water resistant, you could rinse the bracelet or even the entire watch as often as you want.

In term of look, I still prefer Rolex oyster bracelet.

Ease of link adjustment, I vote for the bracelet used in IWC Aquatimer/Ingenieur.

Comfort wise, many contenders, but I find the Omega Speedmaster very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately it does not have a high water resistance.

Maybe the super high-end brands have even better bracelet, but I haven't had the chance to own them.

if ur talking abt looks..for dressy u can go for the gmt (with the center polished links),for classic u can go for explorer, sub or any other steel model with all brushed links..
Only a Rolex will do for me..a tradition passed down from my father and his father..

I wanted to buy a daily beater. My criteria was not leather or rubber. So it only leaves me with SS.

I have a TT Rolex Sport. Wanted to add one more SS to my collections. So far, i love my TT bracelet on the Rolex GMT. But it is too dressy.

I sweat a lot during the day. I love to wear my watch during golf sessions as well. I feel the SS oyster bracelet is nice but never own any other brands with SS bracelet.

Seems like most higher end watches are bias towards either leather or rubber bands. And i have seem SS with IWC, JLC, Omega. I feel that Rolex Sport Oyster Bracelet is still the best looking, excellent functioning and solid.

I am a newbie in luxury watches. Thus seeking for forum members' opinions.

        Thanks.

IMHO, go for rolex SS bracelets (PCL/Brushed) depending on the models & how u wanna match ur clothes, etc. PCL will attract more scratches no doubt compared to brushed. Rolex uses 904L surgical grade SS in their watches, which is the "best" u could possibly b getting in terms of quality, rust-proof, etc.

Hi I may be mistaken, but from what I have read only the recent models the bracelets are in 904L steel. Previously only the watch head was using 904L steel. The recent super case sports models with chapter rings are using 904L. The Deep Sea and Submariner C bracelets both have the glide lock bracelet and Oyster double lock. Also these do not have the polished centre links which may attract more fingerprints and scratches. IMHO these are the "best" sports SS bracelets of the current line up.

Sorry maybe asking a silly question but what is PCL?
