  • Rolex 16800 matt dial

    Hi , my friend currently owns a 16800 sub but this is a latter version with wg ring on the dial.. Is there any way that he can buy and change the dial to a matt dial...

    he can find the dial from time to time being sold on internet forums and auction sites. there are plenty of watch shops that can swap dials for him.

      It depends on its serial number. If its a high 8 million.......general consensus is that its born with WG gloss dial. So even if u fit a matte dial, hardcore collectors will pay the price of a WG gloss dial sub if u eventually sell it, which is priced lower.P.

        Out there ,there are alot of recon matte dials around so must be careful !

          Any idea how much RSC charges ? Or will RSC be willing to do it cos the matt dial is a earlier version ?

            Not sure if RSC still got stock of matte dials......but I seriously doubt it.....

              16800 RSC service dial is non-matte - will be a lumi 16610-type dial.
