Did u have a nice time there? F&E or with a tour group? I visited the places that u've mentioned 5 years ago (10 countries 15 days!). I know what u mean about getting only 1 watch. Its really an opportunity not to be missed. That said, u can always plan for a Milan trip in the future.

I went F&E, otherwise no chance to visit so many watch shops...we even went into the original firenze Panerai boutique 2 times...they had so many rare models in stock, i still dunno how i managed to come out empty handed...hai..

Thanks! The only problem with the Oyster bracelet is the polished link in the middle. Its like a scratch magnet.

Heading to Europe again soon. How much cheaper do u guys reckon getting a watch over there compared to sg ? Last I was there, I thought savings was not that significant - unless paying cash due to credit card imputed exchange rates.

There's a dedicated thread on this discussion, do a search and the info is all there. In short, it is cheaper to get a watch in some parts of Europe compared to SG. Typically, the VAT rebate will be your savings.
