thinking of getting a pre own 116200 and go change the strap to jubilee and the bezel to WG (fluted), can it be done?

If so, any idea how much the jubilee strap (new) and the bezel will cost?

Whenever I thought of buying a DJ, my friends will deter my intent...

"What? an old man watch?", "Are you getting old?", "Too much money?", "Crazy".....

I guess sticking to Sport series is still more suitable for me....

DJ far far can be seiko, citizen, alba.... too many look alike

What's wrong for you wearing a Rolex sport series when getting old?

Don't You ever see an old man driving a Ferrari? Porsch? or an old man holding a young chick? Most people are envy and jealous about the old man, why not me? why the old man?

In fact, wearing a DJ make you look much older when you are age...

Is all about mental model of majority.... shift you mind set, look things at other's perspective, enjoy what you like or see before reporting to God. So long you can afford it, wearing a Rolex sport series is not a crime and you don't really insult the young guys, enjoy enjoy, enjoy....

Tks for the info. Got this from my late father. Do not know how much he paid then. Send in for servicing since 23 Jun and it cost me $618. Overhaul, replace crown, replace the glass and service the jubilee bracelet. Collecting this 11 Jul. Will try to post a picture once I collect it.

I see...$618...it's worth it. In fact ANY PRICE is worth it if the piece has sentimental value. I paid $751 for a new bracelet for my SS DJ which was passed down from my grandfather....worth every cent paid I tell ya

you will get close to brand new watch now if you dont believe you can check out one of my threads, where a heavily damaged watch was serviced by RSC

but if there's sentimental value....any price I m willing to pay.

if the bracelet is still wearable, my advise is to just get a overhaul.

Having said that, I did change a new oyster bracelet on a watch that the preowned market was willing to pay S$900 for (not my 6694 - but another vintage one).

YEah lor....funny why vintage DJs cannot follow 16234 market....sighhh...I didnt even want to think of it appreciating above market value...just follow can liao
