Latest Submariner variant: new bezel for 116613LN

I think the older matte blue dial matches better with ceramic blue bezel... The newer sunburst blue dial shade is a tad darker than the ceramic blue bezel... So the newer sunburst blue dial would look even better with the old blu bezel insert... And i like the diamond markers model too and hunting for it now...

I bn checking the diamond markers model in the pre-owned mkt for complete set G/AN Series price range is 14.5K ~ 15.k, i wonder what is the fair worth price to grab ?

went to 1 of the local AD here.. requested to see the half gold submariner 116613LN .. but i was shown the old variant bezel.
so i asked for the new one with minutes running across the full bezel... i was told "this is the new one lor.. ceramic bezel one.. the other one with full minutes on bezel is Deepsea."

now i am confuse.. she is not updated or i am too up to date with sg-roc?

i even went to the rolex botique at Ion level 1.. was also told they do not have the new variant. I even showed her image from this forum.. she saw it and said yea is the same model.. but they do not have this variant and no idea no news from rolex about this either..

Maybe rolex sa released this new version to the usa market first la... Since their one of the highest sales for rolex in the world..

The old bezel is cleaner nicer more iconic and befitting.
The new bezel with so many dots is like some citizen or casio, so messy looking.

Just like the new dull blue dial and bezel of the bluegold Sub.
The older electric blue sunburst dial is much much nicer.
Now they bring it back but still looks weird becos dial and bezel dont match.
Good thing i hv the 16618 and not the 116618

hmm depends on individual preference.. for me, i prefer a evenly spread minutes dots on the bezel :P looks like deep sea dweller (which i think is also nice but too big for my small wrist haha)

Why every time Rolex release new models seem to be not right, busy lah, weird lah. Is it mean Rolex getting lousy, for me every time i see new released by Rolex all okey doke leh. IMPOV Rolex trying to get out from old era, IMPOV Rolex improving new era. So no one can call me uncle oh ah pek anymore haha...

Yes depends on individual , certainly.

But Rolex is Rolex.
It should keep designs iconic and classic.
Up the size of the lugs a bit, is ok.
Use a different material for bezel maybe still ok.
But adding those silly dots just makes it look so cheap.
Its the simple designthat bowls people over.
Not the complicated stuff that every other brand (like AP, omega, tag, RM) has to do to get on the charts
