Question for Exp 1 214270

I have an 39mm explorer 1 with the shorter hour and minute hands compared to the latest model with the updated hands and dials. My question is, since the new model has the same reference number, will I be able to change the hands or dial if I were to send my watch for service in a few years time?

Based on the ROLEX Service Centre's (RSC) current practice, if you are to send in your older model Explorer for change of dial and hands, they would likely replace them with the ones in the new model, at the same time, keeping the old parts.
