think many will be unhappy when they see this but i'll type it anyway. bros who desire a gmt should wait out a little since the hype is driving the prices of pre-owned out of proportions. think prices of 16710 should cool down and become a little more affordable once rolex intros a ceramic pepsi or coke gmt by next basel.

i'm typing this cos a shop in chinatown just quoted me 7.6 for a d series gmt. gosh, i can actually sub a subbie M series with that kind of money.

Bro feudal, don't think there should be any reason to be unhapppy about your remarks, its just a buyer's market out there. Those who can wait, wait and see. Those who can't, have to get one at the prevailing rate out there. Applies to all other commodities... I'm pretty sure all of us have either scored/lost out in the past while giving some watches a pass... A fine example.. I passed over Panerai GMTs in the past, a Pam 88 from 5K they are now going for 8~9K now.. less than 2 years..

no offense taken either, put very simpily the same conditions as crude oil...... nothing can be done, just hope that the price will subside over time.

Master Seiko.. likelihood of crude oil price coming down is many times lower than the GMTII.. with all the political reasons behind.. but then again.. who knows..

cheaper compare to what im paying , the reason for exhorbant prices, also got gov't contribution, tax on tax. , JP recently eased JPY25 on its excise, but my gov't still dragging feet on any reduction. I can say quite accurately, that your SG gov't also going to be the same

but in aussie, its not a cartel-like atmosphere like spore where prices goes up but never come down and one station goes up, all wl follow suit to match....

i remember during my student days is aus... can pick and choose petrol kiosk cos the one down the road might be cheaper...

anyways gmts prices are crazy la.... up till now i havent found a "m" series or ceramic at a price that i'm comfortable at....

feel like kicking my ass for letting go a ceramic and "z" series i brought in for my colleagues.....

a few months ago, i sold the "d" series at sgd6.4k to someone here..... now the price up already.... dun thinkhe wanna sell me back at that same price...
