Those who can afford to buy a 50 to 60K watch will for sure buy the new Rolex Sky Dweller.... simply because they already have the Pateks and APs! haha!

all of you are assuming buyers out there can only afford one 60k watch. singapore have plenty of multi millionaires, as long as it is something new and looks nice, rich watch collectors will buy, in fact you may not be able to buy a SD even if you can afford it cos there may be a long waiting list.
I remember when the new YM gold model came out couple of years ago, my friend wanted to buy but sold out at all ADs!

I know that style and design are subjective but I can't fathom why any true watch aficionado would choose this piece over the other available options in that price range.

Seem like nobody answer this question... yet.

ABout a month ago, checked with a sales guy in Sincere Fine Watch while shopping at VivoCity.

"Is the Sky Dweller available yet?", I asked.
"Huh... Do you mean Sea Dweller?", the sales guy responded.

I have to disagree. At that expected price range, there are brands worth remembering, not forgetting, not least of all Patek.

Maybe thats why they threw all these 'new' complicaitons an annual calender, together with a second time zone and the ring command all into one model.

But I am with most of you guys, I think they could have found a better way to show the second time zone. or just expose the selected time of the rotating disc and cover the rest of the numbers. Would be more aesthetically pleasing. Using another hand could be an option... But the month indicators is quite a cool idea. But wasted no day like other annual calenders.

The ring command allows you to set the between the different functions. Other annual calenders use small button at the side to push. This a great function.. Another interesting watch which uses the bezel would be the ulysees nardin the freak.
    Think you nailed it here.

    Horologically nice, aesthetically not.

looks like a sport series to me but i think ROLEX should let brands like IWC & breitling to design pilot style watches...
