hope they will release a SS model
that would bring down price by half
at US40k, there are better options (AP,PP)

There is not SS model. All are GOLD, hence prices is definitely not cheap for sure.

I was told it'll be out in the shops next month. But the Everose Gold version may be later.

This new entrant looks good only in Everose Gold with black leather strap. The bracelet version has no appeal at all.

The sky dweller's looks is rather subjective imo, some may like it, but i think most don't. I personally did not like the look at 1st glance, but after reading about its functions etc, i found the watch to be of much substance, and I guess i am a person who likes to see things beyond looks. the movement and watch created is a master piece in itself, and i feel, its a watch for those who appreciate the complexity of the watch. thereafter, I began to 'feel' like the watch was much better looking.

I dun deny looks aren't its top qualities, but to hv rolex make a watch of this calibre, coupled with their reknown quality, and the 'precious metals' they use, i think its worth every penny, comparing to the other Rolex models like day date etc.

But that's not to say I can afford it

If I didn't read wrongly, i thought I saw the prices of the SkyDweller being about 60+ before disc for the leather strap version. Bracelet...go figure. Hahaha

Sky Dweller is way far out of my reach & i not yet develop my taste towards classy/exquisite piece.

But from the Rolex website Sky Dweller interactive site, the newly developed settings adjustment method look awesome/impressive me.

i guess the price is close or cheaper than other brands with Manufacture Movm'ts with similar date / month features.

Not that I'll buy one...... but a stainless version in 2014 will be a hit

Hmm...way too ex for tis model & it's in the region of the DD already. For tat amt of $$$, one can indeed hav many other options. I do like the Rolex brand, but spending above one's budget for it makes no sense to me imho. Well, if really hit the $jackpot$, then by all means get it & many other rollies lolz!
