I really have to disagree on this one...for about 3 years I was asking my regular AD "eh what's the market price, can you get me one?"....I didn't get it
unable/unwilling to pay premium = waiting list and the ****house attitude

Daytona 116520 is not a limited ed.... production is on alllllllll the time.... the only problem is that (what I heard lah) AD need to order many many rolex (different modes, e.g. Datejust TT, Datejust SS, Airking, boysize, etc) in order to get "a few" Daytona SS from Rolex.... so it becomes "rare" loh...
another reason is due to its everlasting demand of the watch, you can see by looking at the auction results of daytonas in the past.... beause of this reason, it encourage more ppl to get one loh...
noob qn about daytona... the high prices of a daytona is due to high demand and/or low supply? if it's due to low supply, how much rarer is a daytona (say normal SS one) compared to other normal (ie. non limited ed) rolex models?

I actually like both the SS and TT but really can't decide.
It seems to make more $$ sense to buy the TT if the price is the same.
Why is the SS black dial same price?
Is it really that exclusive? Die die must get?
You are not wrong to say that it is more $$ sense to get the TT instead of ss. The reason why they are priced as such is because of market demand. The ss version is more in demand.
You mean the material gold should cost more? By right, yes. But in the world of Rolex, SS is more demanding than TT... so about the same price... on the other hand, if you are looking at US$930 per oz for gold now, that amount of gold used to make the watch is peanut.....
