  • Differences between Y series Daytona and V series Daytona

    Tried to search the forum but can't find any information. Hopefully gurus could assist.\

    What are the main differences between this 2 models? in terms of outlook, bracelet or movement? Appreciate all assistance provided.

    get the V, it has the improvement new clasp
    Y has the old clasp, which some prefers
    both are fitted with the Parachrom bleu hairspring that were were first introduced in yr2000
    i think Y series is 2002 , while V series is 2009... not too sure

      Does M series have the new clasp?current also wearing a m series gmt2c and the clasp is very comfortable.

        no, the new clasp started with V daytona
        M was the last series with the old clasp

          so it means to say Y and M no major diff in appearance?
          The one i can only compare from pics is the chapter ring..

            I guess its the engraved rehaut which was introduced in 2006
            Y series wont have the ROLEXROLEX... But M will have it

            You should get the V, it has all the latest features in the current edition of ss daytona

              Thanks bro. I will look out for the V-series then. Actually, i like my GMT II-C more but the daytona is disturbing me so much that i need to own it!
