Hi newbie here...what does it mean by the alphanumeric series? is this the latest? What about G, V or M, does alphanumeric means any association with them?

If there is a BNIB alphanumeric series one going at $12k, worth it?

Thanks in advance for your valued feedback!!

Still deliberating if the half-gold is too 'bling' to wear to work!
Bling or not bling kind of depends on your work environment, mine is quite dull, so i stick with SS watches.

Thanks for the tip. I saw a couple of DIY bezel changes on you tube. I will probably bring it to a 3rd party service centre to change it! I'm sure it's a breeze with practise but not my cup of tea!

whats the difference if you change the bezel? i dont get why it would be any different.

my friend in perth has a 16710 with the pepsi insert, but he also has the coke and all black.

if you do indeed wish to change yourself, beware of the spring at the 11 o clock position, if the spring comes out, you will have to go to RSC or your watchmaker to get it put back in.

RSC will sell you any insert you desire should your taste change.

16710 in original = all parts are original. bezel should be checked to ensure its authentic; but color will not.

this sounds like a silly question, but how do I tell if the bezel insert on a GMT Master 2 (16710) is "original".

I.e. when purchased it was a black insert which was subsequently changed along the way to a Pepsi or Coke insert.

Is this stated anywhere in the certs/papers? Or it doesn't really matter?

I know the bezel insert is not that costly but I want to buy a 16710 in its original state.

As for booklet I believe you are asking about the watch manual? Then yes, it should.
thanks oceanklassik. wrt to booklet, i meant the GMT booklet with pilots in cockpit on front cover and sub booklet shows a diver. the full set of sub which i bot from a forumer here came complete with sub booklet, but another set which i bot direct from a local AD did not. puzzled... or older series came with booklet, the newer series with chapter rings do not?
