Was tracking this particular watch for some time and have noticed that it's not a very popular model. My guess is that the market may be about $10k+ if one is lucky. The last few pieces, I recall was $9k+ about one year ago. Don't think price would have gone up much since.

White dial 16622 is in between, can't remember exact. All before discount.

If you wants a better price, I would suggest you look to grey dealer as they normally sell lower as compare to AD. Furthermore, AD is govern by rolex not to give more discount then those per-agreed by them. Good luck in your hunt.

Bro different function... Sub bezel is unidirectional as yacht master is bidirectional...

Well these are the differences upon my inspection of both models side-by-side - the 116622 vs 116610LV:
1. solid platinum bezel with raised markers vs ceramic bezel
2. curved polished lugs vs thicker lugs
3. smaller clasp vs larger clasp
4. smaller crown guard vs larger crown guard

Overall, the polished finish of the center case and center links on the bracelet gives it a dressier look vs the submariner, not to mention the precious metal bezel.

I heard that the steel and platinum Yacht Master is actually an upmarket upscale version of the submariner. True? Sounds plausible..cause the YM is essentially a sub beneath all the platinum bezel and dial.
