                thanks. the "gold dust" are on the dial which look like specks of gold dust under sun light. the markers are puffy tritium.

                    Prinstine looking dials...

                    Both are super neat pieces.... gilt era dials are one of the most collectiable pieces in vintage rolex. and these condition looks pristine. envy bro....

                        thanks CYC. the gold dust actually refers to the dial, an effects where the clear coat has patinised off after these years, and the "dust" are actually micro pin holes showing the colour the base plate of dial.

                          Not to mention that they are hard to come by....most may not patina-ed to such nice looks...

                              That's a very nice and clean example minimerc. I believe the early gilts are radium markers instead, thus causing a radioactive degradation to the dial and eventually becoming what we call "stardust". The markers on mine glows faintly (very briefly) when exposed to flashlight. Sorry for the iPhone pic:
