Servicing vintage at RSC
Hi
I have a vintage piece that I want the movement serviced. Could I assume that RSC won't touch the dial/hands/crystal ? Or do I have to explicitly tell them?

what you want done (or not done) you must tell them explicitly.
dont want dials/hands/crystal to change tell them, make sure its noted on the receipt

I was at RSC yesterday to check on servicing for my 6694. Cost $610 and they need 5 weeks to service any model.

Polish not too sure but replace acrylic glass, change minor parts, service and change seal.

thanks everyone for your pointers, managed to get down to RSC to ask for a quote up front. crazy prices - suffice to say a complete service would have almost cost me the price a new piece and not to mention devaluing a perfectly nice vintage piece. Think i am going to pass and just go third party for a movement serviceComment
