                      Very nice...

The easiest way to achieve a "ghost" look is to dip the bezel insert into Clorox. Done and tested. But you need to be very fast to achieve the right result.

Ya right and to achieve tropical just bake in the oven. Then I will have many thousand dollar inserts in my drawer lol..

Do you mean you don't believe what I said on the procedure of "ghosting" the insert using Clorox?

No, on the contrary I absolutely believe so but the ghost we are talking here is a different ghost. Not something you can achieve with Clorox.

LOL... yes I know what you mean.

These are without souls (pun intended) in the watch if we deliberately do this.

But honestly, using Clorox to achieve this is really even and... if you do it right, nicer. ;-)
Did this once with my GMT and came out beautiful rose pink and baby blue. Really nice.
