  • PAM 389 Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio [PIC HEAVY]

Finally it landed! A Father's Day present, better late than never!

My 1st 47mm sub Panerai and the 1st sub that made me go "WOW", other than the Bronzo!

I'll let the photos do the talking though.

The OEM black croc leather strap was really nice, because if you look closely, you can see the rough texture with a hint of dark chocolately underneath.

I immediately removed the croc strap, even though I liked it, and swapped it with a Malio Crostino 2 strap which I bought from a fellow forummer!

    And finally, some wrist shots:

I have not seen many photos of a Sub having any other colour straps except black so bought the brown strap to see how it would look like and it does look great!

Initially, I was quite skeptical about trying on a 47mm Panerai due to my small wrist, 6.25". So I headed down to Ion Panerai to check out their selection and was introduced to the 372 & 389. The 372 didn't really sit well on my wrist but the 389 was perfect.

I believe it is due to the thickness of the watch casing (the 1950 luminor "pillowy" case) that allowed me to pull the 389 off better than the 372.

The 372 is still in my plans, just not so soon!

Thank you & enjoy the photos!

One of the nicer Pam submersibles so far and congrats on your purchase. It really looks good and I like it too!

One of my faves!! Too bad cannot afford

U shouldnt tell me your wrist size. Cos mine is ard yours and I have been using the excuse that I can't pull off a 47mm watch to stop myself from saving for the 389

watch looks great, but my opinion is that it's a bit too big for your wrist.

Haha! Time to reconsider! Go try it at the Ion Panerai. They have it, I believe. You may walk out with it!

You need a bigger wrist !!

                      But I like the 389.

Showed my Dad the posts and he said, "See! People say your wrist so small, so you better pass me the watch instead!"

Haiz... the 389 looks small on HIS wrist though! He has a 8" wrist. He then "mocked" me and asked if Panerai has anything bigger and readily available!

Must poison him with the 60mm Pam 341 now! Ha!

                          How big is your wrist?
                          Mine is consider small.

Are you using the first hole in the original panerai strap?
Cos I have 115 and I am using the first hole ..

The submersible looks great on your wrist.
                          your is 47 mm right?

                            Wrist: 6.25in / Dad's wrist: 8in

Actually, we didn't bother with the original straps. Went straight to the aftermarket but may switch to the OEM rubber though.

                            And yes, its a 47mm.

i took a thread and measure the circumference of my wrist .. it's abt 7in
Is that how you measure yours?
