    I bet there are many others who have stories but did not post only.

    It is now my brother's daily beater. He is so happy to wear something that reminds him of our beloved late granddad!

    Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.
    One of my reasons (excuse) for buying vintage pieces (dating to 1969, my birth year) is so that I can one day pass them down to my kids.
    Maybe some time in the future, my kids or grandkids will post up some of my 'heirloom' watches on this forum!
