For Airliners, during emergency like landed somewhere at sea or forest, there are transmitters that emit emergency frequency for search and rescue teams to pin point location.

This watch contains one little transmitter that does that function. Unless you are a pilot that fly your own private plane, there is little chance of opening that screw. And you cannot open it up to see. Think of the consequence.
