    Thanks.
Indeed it has a lot of history embedded, some perhaps from the cold war era.

Someone gave me some more information which I though I'd share here.

In fact one was auctioned by a Russian cosmonaut Artebarsky, claiming that a Tutima was worn by Dietrich Flade in space as well. Flade was an ex Luftwaffe pilot that wore a Sinn 140/2 in space, so it seemed a bit odd that he might also wear a near-identical Tutima.

See here the actual watch auctioned by Artebarsky,

Mine (SL. NO 602395) happens to be 19 serial numbers away from the one above (SL. No. 602414).
This information was given to me by fellow collectors, and I am posting this for info only.
    Interesting stuff nonetheless.

  • A new arrival - Tutima Bund issued to the Luftwaffe

A few careless clicks on ebay, and I ended up with this amazingly special Tutima bund which I understand was issued to German Airforce in the mid 80's.

The watch arrived from a collector from Greece, and came with some battle scars on the case.
She spent a few weeks at JW and after a good re-blast of the case i got it back last saturday.

    Here are some pictures,
