Equally important, better to query the percentage of the VAT even in the same country. Reason being, the tax refund can be handled by Global Blue or Premier Tax Free. Both offer different tax refund percentage for different amount and charge different admin charges. In UK alone, refund percentage ranges from 13.5% to 16.67% for a $10k(SGD)watch.

Very nicely captured and sharp. I tried using DSLR and I cant get this clarity. Gave up. How did you capture it?

I am not so sure of Italy, but the saying that buying in Switzerland is cheaper is false.

I was there 5 months back to buy a JLC and a Rolex. In Swiss, discount is extremely tight. around 3% at most for CC and 5% for cash.

Coming back to SG, I find that the prices here are better, despite the VAT returns (8%) from buying in Swiss.

If you want the highest VAT returns, it will be Holland at 21%. But not sure of prices there.

To be honest, I find the cheapest rolexes are in HK and one more place : Dubai. Not many pple mention Dubai, but I find the salesguys there are very willing to bargain. May be able to get good deals there.

The GMT II has 2 firsts now among rolex - the first to have ceramic bezel, and the first to have a 2-colour ceramic bezel.

    Congrats!
If I remember correctly, it was also the first sports model to come with the new "supercase" with the introduction of the 116718 as the 50th anniversary of the GMT.
