Here's a better shot (and some poison ) of the dial. The bezel insert is original glossy type and the pearl has aged nicely also.

          wad a beauty... speechless...

                  Thanks guys!

Yes those are lumi hands. The dial is just fantastic. Under natural light, it takes on a even shade of brown with a matt texture. I guess this is what the WIS call a tropical dial? Vintage rocks!

Finally "ZHNG" my 666 SD until swee swee

Added tritium hands to my SD today. I ordered the hands from a dealer on the vintage rolex forum and it arrived on my doorstep this afternoon. I find it amazing that parts for vintage rolexes are readily available in that forum.

Straightaway went to my watchmaker and the luminova hands were swapped out for these NOS hands.

                      This is the result:

Definitely a keeper for me now

Just wondering how long will it take for the T dial markers to change to yellow??

Thanks to all bros for the comments. Looks like many vintage rolex enthusiasts here as well.

As for the tritium turning yellow, there are many theories on the internet. For example, the 2 most popular beliefs are exposure to UV or moisture. I am a believer in the moisture theory as I have seen watches kept in the safe also developing patina (no UV there!)
